PLACEMENT CELL
The department that has been working untiringly towards helping the students strike out a difference in the corporate world. Our college provides a friendly and challenging learning environment that helps and guides the students to meet out the demands in the competitive world outside. There are two ways of spreading light: one, by the candle and the other, a mirror that reflects it. The Department of Training & Placement serves as a mirror that reflects the dreams and goals of the institution. It offers various training programmes for the students and grooms them furthermore to sharpen their intellectual abilities. Instead of awaiting opportunities, they learn to chase and grab opportunities to realize their dreams. It also inculcates discipline and moral values in the students to help them become better individuals.
Placement Cell and Career Guidance Cell
The Career Guidance Cell at The New College functions under the direct control and directions of the Principal of the College. A team of Professors nominated by the Principal, work together to guide the students on Career opportunities. The objective of the cell is to identify the talents available among the students of this College and nurture and harness them further and offer guidance to choose a bright and right career.
The activities of the cell include collecting the database of the students and compiling them for use when needed. The cell facilitates the students to improve their skills to face various competitive exams such as civil service exams conducted by UPSC and TNPSC. The Career Guidance Cell organizes seminars and meetings to encourage the students to plan their future. Above all, the main function of the cell is to invite reputed companies to the campus to conduct campus interviews and find suitable jobs for the skills available among the students.
The cell also facilitates the economically weaker sections of the students of first and second year undergraduate courses to find suitable part time jobs to supplement the family income without affecting the academic pursuit.
